In this 4 hour class you will be using Isomalt sticks from Cake Play LLC, to create a beautiful Isomalt sculpture called butterflies

in flight. 

In class you will learn how easy it is to use Isomalt for not only sculptures but accent pieces for cakes, cupcakes, bling….the list

goes on and on. 

We will learn pouring, casting, and basic pulling techniques.  You will learn how easy it is to make your own unique mold out of

aluminum foil for the base of the sculpture. In addition you will learn how to paint and dust the pieces.

Price includes everything you need for this class, all you need to bring is your enthusiasm to create your own unique sculpture.

In this class the students will be using Isomalt to build our Oriental string work and bridge work from. All students will get two molds to use and take home with them.

Peggy will supply the isomalt, molds, icing, and all the little stuff.

Romantic Wedding Cakes

Part 1:  In Part 1, Jay will be teaching you to use fabric effects such as wrapped ribbons around cakes, how to embellish those with Sugar Brooches, how to use applique flowers to enhance designs and how to do his signature brush embroidery! 


Part 2:  In Part 2, Jay will be teaching you about adding swags to cakes for a different fabric effect, he will teach you to pipe drop strings, to do fine piping details (another of his specialties...just ask Martha!) and to add stencil designs to cakes.


Jay will be sharing stories, tips and tricks of the trade to make weddings less stressful and frightening for you.  In each part, you will work on a 2 tier cake and will have 4 techniques to show your friends and family.  He will try to work with you so that one half of the cake shows off certain techniques and when you turn the cake, you have an entirely different look to show your customer.

Chris of Debbie Does Cakes will use demonstration, lecture, and hands-on techniques to remove the mystery of creating a dynamic cake structure. Students will learn how to create a standing stork structure from readily available materials using simple hand tools. You will go home with a working structure, patterns, scaling instructions, and a step by step guide to create the finished cake.

Beginning Fondant Cake Class
